Emma learns to sing...

Last night Emma learned to make a new noise. It's somewhere between singing and screaming. She seems really intrigued about making this new noise, unfortunately it's quite loud. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/?v=o9RUB6z6zl4

Bad Hair Day

It's official, bad hair is hereditary. Emma had a nice warm bath, and now her hair is all clean, shiny, and stickiupie. You can't really appreciate the true bad hairness from this picture, but you kinda get the idea. Posted by Picasa

Feed Me!

Emma sat in her "high chair" for the first time last night. We are teaching her about eating at the table, even though she's not ready for solid food yet. She really liked sitting up high and hanging out with us. Finally we may have found a trick to eating dinner without her crying. It will be another few months before she's ready for solids, but I think she's excited for it. The only thing she eats other than breast milk is her vitamins, and she loves those. She sucks them down like they're candy. She also loves her baby tylenol, although that is a very rare treat. It's grape flavored. Posted by Picasa

Roar!

Roar! I'm a dinosaur and I'm gonna eat you... as long as you are made out of milk. We haven't dresses Emma up in any silly outfits for a while, so we thought it was time.

This is her dinosaur snow suit she got from Grammy. Emma had another big weekend.

Grandma came to visit and then we all went to Aunt Mary Beth's new house. Emma really liked the fish tank.

Emma and Earl have been getting to know each other a little better too. Here they are, hanging out this morning.

Look at my pretty dress...

Quick, look at my pretty dress before I pop right out of it.

Emma is doing great, and growing so quickly, I have to put her in all her pretty outfits before she pops out of them. I usually just have her wear pajamas, but I should dress her up even if we're just sitting around her house. She is teething, but she's too little to hold her teething toy in her mouth. As you can see it's pretty big. She's been good about her teething. Sometimes we have to give her a little tylenol before bed, but rarely. She tends to only like to have her hands or my breast in her mouth. She doesn't really like the teething toys too much. Other than a little crankyness, she is doing great. She's had a lot of awake time, she likes to try standing. (we think she's going to skip the whole crawling thing and go straight for walking) She's still sleeping through the night. She is such a good kid! I just hope she stays this way.

Emma's big day out

Here is Emma at the Star Wars exhibit. She was very well behaved, and was definatly the youngest person there.

I think she thought it was quite boring though. You'll notice she's enjoying R2D2, but as she meets Chewbaca, she's starting to loose interest.

And here with Darth Vader, she's out. Sound asleep. We were quite bored with the exhibit too, so we headed over to the Electricity room.

Emma was not at all scared of the lightning . She's a very brave little baby.

But we couldn't get her hair to stand up.

May the force be with you...

Emma had a big day today. Her first trip to the Boston Museum of Science. We had a nice time with Deb and John. Emma was quite bored with the Star Wars exhibit, but she seemed to like the electricity room. Stay tuned for more pics, (Emma and R2D2) cause right now its past our bedtime. Posted by Picasa

Emma update...

Not much new to report. Emma is doing great. I've slowed down on the picture taking. This is Emma on her play mat. She likes it a lot . (Thanks again Laurie) Emma has a lot more awake time than before, except today, where she's sleeping a lot. I think she is starting to teeth. She has a bump on the top gum that feels and looks like a tooth is coming in. She's been sucking on her hand like crazy. The only problem is she's too young to hold a teething ring in her mouth.

Other than that she's doing great. She already is in size 6-9 month clothes. The clothes that just say 6 months are too small for her. I can't believe she is only 3 months old. I keep seeing little tiny babies that are older than her. I can tell they're older because they can hold up their head really well, and control they're arms really well, but they are half the size of Emma. According to the bathroom scale, (which could easily be wrong) She weighs between 15 and 17 pounds. It's great that she's so big and healthy, but I wish she would fit in her clothes a little bit longer. Posted by Picasa

Big weekend for Emma

Emma had a big weekend. We had our fourth Christmas this weekend. We all had a great time at Aren't Nancy's house. Emma slept through a lot of it, but she got some very nice presents. We then went to Auntie Deb's house, picked up Deb and brought her to Auntie Keri's house for Krista's birthday party. (Anybody named Auntie, instead of Aunt or Aren't isn't really and Aunt, but we think it's cute) Today Emma got to meet my friends from high school. Emma was quite the social butterfly this weekend. Watch her play Aren't Nancy's piano with Daddy.

Emma in the movies...

I'm learning to post movies of Emma from the digital camera.

Here is her first edited movie. I hope you like it.

Christmas in Connecticut

We had our second and third Christmases this week.
First we had Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Tuesday morning. Emma wasn't too interested in her presents, but she liked all of the attention. She did really like her book from Grandma. I got some books on baby sign language. Right now I'm trying to teach her the signs for "Mommy" "Kitty" "Milk" and "Change".

Emma finally got to meet Tim. She really liked him, and she tried to talk to him very loudly whenever he was talking. Emma had become quite the social butterfly. On Thursday we had a big family Christmas and Emma got to meet Aunt Sharron. Emma got lots more presents.
After all that she needed a bath in Grandma's sink and a drink from daddy's beer, (Which she didn't get!)

Emma also got to visit with her favorite uncle, Tom.

And she got to visit Jed and Karen, and even Chuck for a little while! Emma thinks Jed's couch is super comfy!
