Baby's first Christmas!

Look how cute her little shoes are!!!!!

Emma could already tell it would be a long day of us posing her for pictures, but once she found out she was going to get presents she decided to cooperate.

Here she is with out Christmas tree. I love our tree, but it barely has any needles left on it.

And here she is at the end of the day, all tuckered out. She got lots of very nice gifts, but of course, she likes the wrapping the best!

Merry Christmas to all...

And to all a good night. Emma says thank you, but it sound like "ah goo". Emma loves her presents, and she's ready for bed. We'll tell you all about our big day later.

Merry Christmas

All I want for Christmas...

Emma wants her two front teeth. "She may be teething soon", the Doctor informed me today. Oh Goodie! She's only been sleeping and screaming today, but I'll blame it on the four shots she got today. She now weights .......... 14 pounds, 2 ounces! She is also 24 3/4 inches long!
She is off the percentile chart. The Doctor said she is very healthy.
She got her first Christmas presents last night. Doesn't she look cute in her new snowsuit!

Super Swaddle

As I mentioned before, Emma is rapidly outgrowing things, including her swaddling blankets. Here she is in a twin size fleece blanket. Finally we found something to contain her. This super swaddle is only for night time. She has been sleeping through the night, so it must be working! Posted by Picasa

Summer clothes...

Emma is growing way too fast. We are currently cramming her into clothes before she completely outgrows them. The other problem is that all the clothes she is outgrowing are summer clothes. It makes sense that we got summer clothes, because the shower was in August. But it is pretty darn cold out there now. Who thought she's be in size 6 months at 2 months old?

We've moved....

I couldn't take friendster anymore. It was too slow and had too many stupid ads, so here we are, safe in the arms of something made by Google! Hooray! Oh how I love Google.
Emma seems happy about it too!

Emma and Earl...

I just love Earl in this picture. He looks like he thinks he's in trouble. He has been in trouble lately. He has learned that when I'm breast feeding Emma, there's not much I can do to him if he acts up. So far, just today, he has eaten almost all the bows on the Christmas presents I just wrapped. He has turned on the stereo, by standing on top of it. (He apparently liked to listen to very loud static.) He has eaten pieces of the tree. He also keeps trying to stand on the baby. He tries to get between Emma and me when I'm feeding her. I can't wait until she big enough to pull his tail!

Hurricane Emma...

Emma is growing quite big. She has outgrown her first set of clothes. She has outgrown her socks. The main problem is that she has outgrown her swaddling blankets. She really likes being swaddled, so we had to find a new solution...and here it is. She is swaddled in a large fleece blanket that I gave to Marc in college. It's about 5 ft by 5ft. And believe it or not, this is starting to be too small to reach around her. I just think it's so funny that it's such a dismal color. She looks like a little baby saved by the red cross. Like she was just pulled out of a hurricane or fire. We bought a new blanket for her. It's bigger than we thought. Stay tuned for that pic.

Skeletor

I wanted to take this picture at Halloween time, but I kept forgetting. Here is Emma and her bear Harold in matching outfits. I think it's great that she's the same size as Harold now. I also like that I can prop her sitting up between the couch cushions.

Christmas parade...

We went to the Christmas parade the other day. It was lots of fun. It was my first time seeing a parade while it was snowing. Emma hated the fire trucks. She thought they were too loud. She slept through seeing Santa. She tends to sleep through most of our activities. And of course I forgot to bring the camera to the parade. But here she is afterwards, all tuckered out:
