Playtime...

We had a great time at playgroup today. Meet Emma's friends...

Nina

Laura

Corin

We didn't take Hannah's picture, she was too sleepy. Emma loved playing with all of Corin's toys. She also really liked Corin's doggy. He was way more interesting than Earl. Emma got to wear her sweater from Aren't Nancy, since she is officially way to big for all four of her snow suits.
Thank goodness it's almost spring.

Peas...

Emma, unlike her mommy, likes peas. More peas please!

What a big weekend....

Emma had a really big weekend.
Friday Seamus and Erin came to visit. We had a really nice time. Seamus enjoyed playing with Emma's toys, and Emma's face. Now that she can sit up, he thinks she's a little more fun. But when they both are crawling, they'll be quite the handful.
Saturday morning Grandma and Kathleen both came to visit. It was a full house. Marc worked, Grandma watched Emma, and Kathleen and I addressed and stuffed her wedding invitations. Emma had a great time playing "Rolly Polly" with Grandma.
Later that night we went to Chad and Rachel's Purim Party. Emma went as a lion, but later changed into her lovely striped number. Emma was really fascinated by the reinactment of the story of Purim. She also loved all the attention.
Sunday we went to the outlet mall, and bought nothing for Emma! Then we went to Deb's house. Emma liked showing Deb her sitting up trick, and her crawling trick, which is really more of a push her face into the floor and scream trick, but eventually it should turn into crawling.
It was a big weekend, and we are pooped!

Better than food.....

Emma loves to eat her placemat. It is way better than rice cereal. Check it out:

Solids...

Emma eats solid food ... sort of.
Emma had her first taste of rice cereal. She hated it. Soon she can have vegetables, and I think she'll like that, but rice cereal is no good for Emma. It smells like wallpaper paste, and probably tastes similar.

3 O'Clock Walk

T.G.I.S. Thank God it's spring! Or at least almost spring. Emma and I now go for a 3 O'Clock Walks. She looks like such the suburban baby in her little baseball cap. (I got it on clearance. FYI she wears toddler size hats.)
Today the weather was crummy, so we walked around the mall. Not much fresh air, but still good exercise. Posted by Picasa

Emma Sits

Sitting up may not seem like a big deal, but we think it's pretty cool. Emma has learned to sit up all by herself. She topples over after a bit, but she's building up those core muscles. Check it out.

Cute pictue bonanza...

This is the cute picture bonanza. I haven't emptied the camera in a while, so here's the good stuff that was in it.

This is Emma in her new Ikea highchair.

She likes being up high.

Here she is in her snowsuit, waiting to go out in her new car seat.

Here's a lazy morning on Mommy's birthday.

Emma in her snow sack. We had to make the hole bigger for the car seat buckle. Now her whole butt hangs out.

Emma with Auntie Deb and Maureen, on Deb and Mommy's birthday.

Emma in Deb's old bonnett. Deb was a bigger baby than Emma, can you believe it. (9 lbs, 13oz)

Emma playing superman. I don't know if Superman eats his fingers.

Emma can reach her feet. She can even put them in her mouth. Now she's ready for yoga with Grandma.

Emma sitting by herself in the crib. She can only sit for a few seconds by herself, but she's learning.

Emma eating daddy's finger like an ear of corn. When are those teeth gonna come in ?

that should last you for a while.

Playgroup

Emma had her first playgroup today. There were four other babies. A set of 3 month old twins, a two moth old, and a seven month old. All girls. We had a really nice time. Emma likes looking at all the other babies. She was way bigger than all of them, except for the 7 month old, they were the same size. Emma's pictured in her snow suit. I forgot to take any pictures until we were ready to leave. She was very tired after her big day, and she fell asleep in the car, and stayed asleep for a while in the house in her snow suit.
