Emma eats solid food ... sort of. Emma had her first taste of rice cereal. She hated it. Soon she can have vegetables, and I think she'll like that, but rice cereal is no good for Emma. It smells like wallpaper paste, and probably tastes similar.

Her grandmother had that very same expression on her face when she was first confronted by some white glop masquerading as cereal. It will be easier for all concerned, you, Marc and Emma, if you take each day's cooked vegetables and puree them in a blender or food processor. They will taste the same as yours, Emma will learn to like the taste, and when you shift her over to more solid food, she'll not rebel as she'll be familiar with its taste. A lot less hassle for Mom! She is a beautiful child. I hope to meet her soon.
